What is a Debt Management Plan?

A Debt Management Plan is an informal approach to solving your debt problems. It works by calculating what you can afford to realistically pay your creditors every month and negotiating these payments with them. (We can do this on your behalf if you are thinking about Debt Management).

What is an IVA?

An Individual Voluntary Arrangement is a formal agreement between you and your creditors which is governed by The Insolvency Act 1986 and normally lasts up to 60 months (or you can do a Short IVA if you have a lump sum of money). During this time you pay one offordable monthly payment. The money that you pay into an IVA is then divided up equally and paid to your creditors. The total money that you pay will be less than you owe.
